Joelle Biele at Midtown Scholar Bookstore September 24
The Almost Uptown Poetry Cartel is pleased to feature Maryland's Joelle Biele presenting her poetry September 24 at The Midtown Scholar Bookstore. That's what they tell me. Enthusiastically.
Biele, a world-class poet and critic, is author of White Summer (Southern Illinois University Press, 2002) and the editor of Elizabeth Bishop and The New Yorker: The Complete Correspondence (Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 2011). She was 2008-09 Fulbright Professor in American Literature at Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland.
Poetry Thursdays events are held weekly at the Midtown Scholar Bookstore in Harrisburg, PA. The cartelians specialize in hand-crafted prosody. Quite a bunch, the series has been operative since 1999 in several locations. An open reading will precede the feature presentation.
The Scholar, in the center of midtown. is located at 1302 North Third Street, 17102. Right across from the Harrisburg Market House.
Call 717.236.1680 for affirmation. Don't forget to ask about parking &. tell 'em Groucho sent ya.
